The U-20 German player Levin Oeztunali scored in the 19th minute of the first half. The goal was enough to sent the Nigeria side packing. The German players played good football compared to the Flying Eagles. The Germans will now meet Mali in the quarter-final.

The former Napoli coach Raphael Benitez has been appointed as the new coach of Real Madrid for three years. He replaces Ancelotti who was sacked by the club for not winning a trophy this season. Benitez started his coaching career in Real Madrid as a junior coach. He coached Valencia where he won two league titles and went ahead to win champions league at his first season at Liverpool. He has returned to Santiago Bernabeu after 11 years.
